If people are your assets and experiences are your bank balance then I say, you are the Ambani of happiness. The elder brother, of course. Yes, I totally believe that time and money spent on people and experiences is well spent of the highest order. I said ‘spent ‘ and not ‘invest’ because the word ‘Invest’ brings a small and ugly package of expectations with it, at the least.

If with a dead asset, you acquire a feeling of pride and insured against the uncertainties of future,( i.e, If tomorrow comes); having people you care for, brings a smile on your lips whenever you think about them or when your phone rings with their name blazing on your screen and thats priceless. One sad thing though is , our upgraded genetic structure is such that , we know very well how to handle dislike and hatred but are sometimes clueless when care and concern comes from someone , out of the blue and for no reason. If thats totally incomprehensible to us, we definitely  need a new upgraded version of ourselves ASAP unless,
if we could turn back the needles of our clocks back to the times when we could trust our neighbours instantly and love all our friends unconditionally.

Having poured out the heavier thoughts out of my way, let me tell you what I think about Bahubali-2. I loved the look and feel of it but no pleasant or intriguing surprises at all. Nothing that I didn't guess of, story-wise. The answer to The question of the decade, ”Why Kattappa killed Bahubali”, also disappointed me to the point that I wanted to ridicule the  movie as just a huge hype, but, but ...please read the rest before you judge me.

Another factor that didn't gimme a  five star feeling(& rating) about the move is Shivagami’s (Ramya Krishna) character. Her character was the best and most impressive in the first sequel. She was portrayed as a strong, impartial and a woman of extraordinary analytical skills, who knew very well that her own husband is useless and not one bit trustworthy. Then why did she fall into all the traps set by her man and son, who lead her into believing that her adopted and the more eligible-to-be-king-son tried to kill her prodigal son!!! Doesn't at all feel like her…

The storyline too isn't one bit different to what any one with a few years of movie-watching-experience could forecast of it. Apart from these complaints for Raja Mouli, the movie is a delight to watch. Its a matter of pride for Tollywood and all the telugu people. Nothing of this magnitude and grandeur can ever be made in the near future at least. This definitely grabbed the whole world’s attention to Tollywood . I am going to watch it one more time for sure, just in case I missed something :o)) Now, go ahead and judge me.

Adios!!

  2. Loved the experience and investment part!! Today we all spend our hard earned money on experiences and not on materials, which is for good.
Speaking about Bahubali, I have come across many who dint like it 'that much'. I tell myself, it's a movie after all. I personally LOVED the movie. Why did kattappa kill Bahubali was somehow not important in the movie. I loved the movie, in fact the series for various reasons. Incredible action sequences and special effects that just blow your mind, the character of the lead that just makes you fall in love with him, the story, heavily inspired from Mahabharata and Amar Chitra katha which take u on a joyful ride into the make believe world where a strong woman like shivagami can even make mistakes. Last but not the least, Sanskrit, tell me which Indian movie, based on an era long gone has woven its story and songs in Sanskrit. I noticed so many nuances of the movie when I watched it for the second time. I am not really a movie buff, but I was in total awe while watching Bahubali!!!

  3. Nice write up, could understand well though my english is not that good :) , keep writing such nice reviews
Even I didn't love movie much and had a similar thought as how come Shivagami easily deceived by husband & son, however I just let it go off as I don't apply much logic for a movie, happy as long as it's entertaining, only disappointment is less fight sequences than expected :)
