#SIMPLE is SMART Like all good things come to an end, after two blissful years, we have neighbours on our floor now. Our adjoining apartment has been possessed (pun intended) and the possessors want the whole world to know about their new acquisition. The celebrations are planned for three straight days. For just a housewarming, it felt a bit too inordinate. Even weddings are just a day's ordeal now! Celebrating a special occasion with friends and family is misapprehended by most, to the extent where subtleness is totally ignored and superfluity is employed to satisfy the urge to feel superior. To see them make a spectacle of their wealth is as entertaining as Rahul Gandhi trying to prove that he knows what he is talking. I totally blame Karan Johar for setting such ridiculously high standards for our Indian weddings, which are risibly opulent already.
