Little kids seem to be the only ones who enjoy their morning rides , to school. There are a couple of exceptions though . If a guy is smiling even in heavy traffic , it means a girl is sitting behind him, on his bike. If a girl is smiling, it means, her bestie is sitting behind her. Except for these few lucky souls, I hardly find any happy faces on my morning drive to college.
Life keeps throwing one tantrum after another, anyway. But is it necessary that we surrender with fear!! Makes me wonder, why doesn't a few years of experience with life, give the strength and confidence that you can handle anything that life throws at you now. What a waste is it to spend a decade of precious, beautiful life worrying about what might go wrong tomorrow, instead of enjoying and cherishing whats going right today. Whats even worse is, instead of regretting the wasted time and breaking the cycle of agony and fear, people start taking comfort in dismay .
Whenever "NOW" is taken for granted , joy is ignored and memories are slipping away.
Isn't TODAY the future that you once worried about a little long ago!! So, doesn't it make sense to think that everyday is a tiny part of the future that just arrived! Taking one day at a time can drive away a lot of speculative pessimism, which steals away that pretty smile from your face, without your knowledge or consent.
Living in denial isn't very smart either. Living in a state of emotional comfort despite of all the unexpected googlies coming your way, in a belief that every problem has a solution, is the best and healthiest state of mind, to my understanding.
Every problem is either just a passing phase or comes with a solution in an encrypted form. All thats required to do is, use your database acquired from past experiences to decrypt and implement it . If that leads to another mishap, repeat the steps of the above algorithm . :o)
We can be as happy as kids all through our life, only if we believe that every single day is too precious to fill it with fear or sorrow. There will be more happy faces around only if you can stop dwelling on that one thing missing from your life, pining over a lost opportunity or kicking yourself for one bad decision.
