Having been a fan of SRK since my school days, it was a feast to see both younger and the matured SRK at the same time, in the same movie. Having said that, it would have been an even more enjoyable two and a half hours only if the script was given as much importance as the look of the younger SRK.

Tremendous amount of time and money was spent on the research and trials for the younger look. The final look was attained by using silicon, prosthetics and VFX . Making a 50 year old man look like a 25 year old young man isn't any makeup artist’s daily job. The man behind Brad pitt’s look in the ‘ The curious case of Benjamin Button’, Greg Cannom, is also the man behind SRK’s younger look in the Fan. His skin texture was made unbelievable, his jaws widened and even his iconic nose was given a thinner look. 

SRK proves his passion for his work yet again .  He had to sit for 4 to 5 hours of makeup sessions everyday ,with a broken backbone. With the kind of  bad temper he is infamous for, that must be nothing short of a penance for him. Even if the movie doesn't make much money, he would still be happy ,for his calmed nerves and the amount of patience he must have earned through the process.

To be very fair, I was a bit bored of the script. Nothing that an average viewer couldn't expect. I kept thinking why is a superstar of his stature doing such a poor and boring script. SRK imitating himself with his own dialogs and his own dance steps wasn't that fun, really. I hoped atleast the second half would give some action and some well played mind games but alas! A couple of misbehaviour tricks is all we get and SRK starts chasing SRK. A sorry to the psychopathic fan would have saved us both a lot of time and trouble dude. 

Just one line at the end of movie when both the SRKs are bleeding from all over the face and a  blood wet T-shirt on each of them, like it has to happen at the end of every SRK movie, only this time its two of them, made sense and thats when it struck me. The whole point of this movie.“Don’t be just a fan”. 

SRK must be either really pissed off with all the fan attention or hates to share any footage with another star. So, he must have decided to make two of himself and be the hero,heroin, villain ,basically everything and everyone of the movie. What he must have forgotten is that, too much of a good thing can also make you sick .
